Happy Memories 2013 (from the jar)

Hi lovely readers of my blog, its been quite a while since i have written anything as I seem to have had my time taken up by my developing and exciting new group "Random Gifts Across The World"
However its January and after opening and reading the little notes from my happy memories jar (started January 1st 2013) I thought I would share some of them with you, and hope they inspire you to start a jar of your own .

January 2013
4 Jan.   -  I ordered some energy prints from a lovely artist Julia Watkins, in Colorado. Her company sent me the wrong prints, but told me thy would send the right ones and to keep the 2 they sent as well, so ended up with 5. I gave one to my daughter, and the others hang proudly in my healing room for all to benefit from.

13 Jan  -  Our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. 40 years ago today I married my lovely hubby. We went to Kent and out for a lovely meal with friends. Phil bought me a beautiful Ruby pendant, and we had lots of cards, gifts and flowers. What a weekend xx

23 Jan  -  A little note to say I had to turn down an invite to a party on 6 July. Why the happy memory? Well I couldn't go because on the 6th July I would be singing with the Rock Choir at the O2 and tick off one of the things on my bucket list.

February 2013
9 Feb  -  I got 300 likes on my Facebook page "Energy Worker/Natural Healing Therapist" I started the page back in 2012 to offer spiritual guidance and healing to all my Internet friends across the world. As I write, I now have 737 likes for which I am so very grateful for, and lots of connections with people who have asked for help, and benefited from the healing, being hands on or distant., and i feel very humble as I continue to help where I can

14 Feb  -  I joined a group called Random Acts of Love and today, I left 14 random gifts in and around Norwich Riverside, to make someone smile on Valentines day. (It was a really awful day with gales and rain but I set off fired up with the need to leave these little gifts, and as the morning progressed, so the wind dropped, and the sun came out. This sowed the seed for my own lovely group) Had a couple of feedback from people who had found my little tokens of love.)

March 2013
9 March - First sing of the year with my beloved Rock Choir for comic relief. It was pouring with rain outside the Forum in Norwich, but the energy inside was amazing as we did our "Flash mob" singing "Proud" And boy we were so proud too

10th March  -  (Mothers Day) Lunch spent at The Bridge in Acle, where with the help of Landlady Vanessa Hanlon, I left 25 special poems on random tables, for all the mums that would be eating there that day. We watched from our table as the envelopes were opened and the smiles on the faces made my heart sing with joy.

15 March  -  My 10 seconds of fame on TV when a clip was shown of our Comic Relief flash mob, as they viewed everyone around the country that took part. (not enough airtime to fulfil my bucket list this time though)

April 2013
6 -7 April   -  Spent the most wonderful weekend with 4 lovely people attending my Angelic Reiki training with Margaret West in Ashford. It was an eye opening experience for us all, and very intense training. Am so grateful to Margaret and my angels that now help me with the healing energy that is channelled to help others in need

19 April -  A birthday full of surprises and Joy. A magical mystery trip and lunchtime meal, lots of cards and presents that I treasure, I felt very special indeed.

20 April  -  A special birthday meal (prepared by us) for 6 lovely friends. We set the table up in the conservatory, and had a curry night to remember. Hard work but was an honour for our friends to enjoy the evening as much as we did

May 2013
18 May  -  Today I bought my little "Ladybug" She is my very own red Smart Car and looks like a ladybird (hence the name) I love her so much. Looking forward to some exciting journeys together on the open road.

June 2013
22 June  -  I joined a facebook group called "Hosting Travelling Skulls" earlier in the month and today, I became the host of a little brown agate skull called "Mister Brown" He came to me from Michelle Nash in Canada, and arrived with his own little diary for me to write about the experiences he has had with me, and I with him. Little did I know that my skull collection was about to begin with this one little crystal skull that changed my views about them, (I now have 21)

26 June  -  Spent a lovely warm day at the Norfolk Show with Phil. We sauntered around and viewed the livestock, and the stands until we could walk no more. Bought some goodies and had tea in a marquee to round off the day.  We took Mister Brown with us for an outing and he enjoyed the day being photographed and seeing the sights too

*30 June  -  Today was a warm and sunny day, my little dog has not been too well and after taking her to the vets recently, we find her poor old kidneys are packing up. Today was spent in the garden, having a lovely long snuggle time with my beloved Jess. A happy memory indeed

July 2013
8 July  -  Today marked another tick off of the bucket list for me. I sang with the Rock Choir at the O2. Over 7000 of us spent the afternoon singing out hearts out as Rock Choir put on a spectacular show. The atmosphere was amazing, made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, and tears of course when we sang Something Inside So Strong. This song means so much to so many people, and is a very special anthem for us Rockies. Had a nice meal afterwards, and caught up with friends from other choirs....A special happy memory indeed, as we thought we may have to cancel as our little Jess is getting frailer by the day. Its funny how she rallied round before we left, and stayed well over the weekend we were away, so we could sing without worrying too much about her.

16 July. Poor Jess has taken a turn for the worse so we have had to make a decision that we have been avoiding for a while. The happy memory for today is that my daughter, after hearing the heartbreaking decision we had to make, dropped everything and drove 2 and a half hours to come and say goodbye to Jess and give us some support. Then drove home again that evening.

17 July  -  Today we sent our beloved baby Jess to the rainbow bridge. Bittersweet memories as we are heartbroken at the loss of her, but happy memories too from all the kind messages cards and flowers we have received from our friends and Internet buddies. So much support for us, and even a mojo bag sent to me for grief from a caring soul. So although not a happy memory today, it is a happy day for Jess to run free at the rainbow bridge with no more pain or illness, chasing butterflies and stretching out in the warm sunshine while she waits for us all to join her.

Another happy July memory put into the jar but not dated specifically is that our Son Christopher has had his first book accepted by a publisher. We are so proud of him for his achievement, and brightens our day when we think of how bad his english was when he was at school. Love You Chris xxxx

August 2013
17 Aug  -  Today we went to Whittlingham Park just outside of Norwich, to meet up with the Rockies and enjoy a picnic sing together. Despite the rain and us having to retreat to a little copse, we had a great time, and sing with our Choir Leader Ian Sainsbury, and the food was outstanding. Everyone made lots of lovely picnic food, and drinks were flowing too. Poor Rachel got stung on the lip by a wasp who dared to drink her fizz, but she recovered well in a few days.

18 Aug  -  Today we had another treat when we attended the Lowestoft/Beccles Choir picnic on the beach. Was a lovely afternoon this time, and we sat on Lowestoft beach, sampling lots of goodies and drinks. We had another good sing song with our garlands round our necks courtesy of Glynis, and afterwards, had chips on the front. Brilliant weekend

24 Aug  -  This is our first time taking our two little dogs for a weekend away in Kent. Spud doesn't travel very well and finds the whole thing a bit stressful, and Maggie just sits on my lap staring at Phil lol...However, we got there safe and sound and had a great weekend (bank holiday) in the sunshine, with bar b que's and outings. A very happy memory especially as we had our doggies with us

September 2013
6 Sept  -  The pre-term Rock Choir party was held in Wymondham tonight. Phil kindly drove the bus and we had such a laugh. Ian Sainsbury entertained us and the bar was good. We presented Ian with a podium for his birthday and a conducting baton, and danced the night away.

September  -  I started my own group on facebook called "Random Gifts Across The World" I gave the Random Acts of Love group a good 6 months to have another event, but nothing was forthcoming and so I decided to start my own as the gifting had inspired me so much, and I wanted to carry on but on a larger scale. Worldwide in fact!
Today (20 Sept)  marked our fist gifting weekend event where we had over 700 people joined in over 30 countries, and it was absolutely a success. Four of us (plus Nate) went to a beautiful secret garden where we left lovely gifts tied to trees and on benches. Feedback from other gifters and people who found our gifts was very encouraging, and another event is planned soon.

27 - 29 Sept  -  This weekend I am off to tick another thing from my bucket list. A weekend retreat to Glastonbury. I am to stay in a retreat type house with some facebook friends, and visit Chalice Well and The Tor.
(Was a wonderful weekend full of fun and magic, a visit to the wells where I cleansed my crystals in the sacred water. Left a few gifts of painted stones around the gardens, and got 2/3rds of the way up the Tor before my body said no more.  I plan to go back next year with some friends and make it to the top of the Tor. All in all another very happy memory

October 2013
18 Oct  -  Took the coach with Phil and lots of Rock Choir friends to sing at Wembley. There were over 500 of us singing at a rugby match between the Saracens and Toulouse. Phil watched the rugby match over the other side of the arena, but I took my binoculars and spotted him in his seat. We sounded fantastic and had such fun....Another brilliant day

25 - 27 Oct   -  The Second Random Gifts Across The World event. Was a Halloween/Harvest event, and we painted stones like pumpkins and left small gifts around Norwich City Centre and Chapplefield Gardens.

November 2013
7-10 November  -  We had a lovely visit from our friends in Kent. We had lots to catch up on and we went to Yarmouth for a meal, and visited Highways Nurseries where we saw all the Christmas decorations and even bought some. I left a few gifts at the Nurseries, and one was claimed 2 weeks later which I had tied to a tree!

24 Nov  -  I had a table booked at the Mind Body, Soul and Craft fair to promote my group RGAW. Trayc came and helped me set up, and she and Sue helped explain about the group, how we work, and gave out leaflets for our Christmas event, whilst I sat and painted stones all day. In my element, I was...The happiest memories of the day was a surprise donation from another stall holder and little girl who I gave a stone to, painted with father Christmas on, and she came back with a gift for me from her mum's stall

December 2013
13-15 Dec  -  This was out biggest event yet, a Random Gifts Across The World Christmas gift drop.  Hundreds of people worked really hard to make small inexpensive gifts to leave for people to find. I went with a friend to a woodland walk where we left gifts tied to trees and in also the swap box where people leave items they no longer need. The next day I went to the City and left a few more gifts around and about. Left a gift on the park and ride bus going out, and coming back from the City.

Already had feedback coming in from people that had found our gifts, but also some people had been too busy to leave their gifts, so we extended the event until the end of December. That gave me so much more time to leave more gifts as I went round and about, ending on Christmas Eve, with another City trip to leave the last of the gifts, that had been donated to me by others.....What a way to end 2013.

20 Dec  -  Rock Choir Big Sing/Christmas party at Wymondham, Phil volunteered to be bus driver again and we had a great time, singing, dancing, eating and drinking. Raffles and games in aid of the Air Ambulance was a great success and secret Santa left us lots of presents.  Another happy memory for the jar.

So for someone who thinks that not a lot happens to her, this year has proved me so wrong. I have had a fabulous year, the summer has been good to us, and the year has gone in such a whirlwind, that I really appreciated the little reminders that i picked out of the jar on New Year's Eve. They really made me smile.
*If I had to choose the best memory of all, I would say that my day in the garden having a snuggle with my little dog Jess in the warm sunshine would win hands down.

I do hope you have enjoyed my happy memory jar for 2013, and that this has inspired you to jot your happy memories down on little scraps of paper, to fill your jar ready for New Year's Eve this year xxx

Rainbow blessings, love, light and laughter, Namaste
